Reclaim & Revive Salvage began in 1998 when contractor Mike Sullivan couldn't bring himself to throw away the beautiful oak staircase from a demolition project. "It seemed criminal to take something so well-crafted, so full of history, and send it to a landfill," he recalls.
That staircase sat in Mike's garage for six months before a neighbor asked to buy it for their renovation project. The transaction planted a seed: what if there was a place dedicated to preserving these architectural treasures?
Today, our 15,000-square-foot warehouse in the historic industrial district houses materials from over 800 buildings. Each piece is tagged with its origin when known â the year, the building, the architect when we can trace it. We've salvaged from Victorian mansions slated for parking lots, Art Deco theaters converted to retail, churches where congregations have merged, and factories being turned into lofts.
More than a business, we see ourselves as temporary custodians of architectural heritage. These doors, windows, fixtures, and details represent decades of craftsmanship, design evolution, and the story of how we've built our communities. We're honored to give them a second life in new homes and projects where they'll be appreciated for another generation.
Every piece that leaves our warehouse carries its history forward. That's the beauty of architectural salvage â nothing is truly lost, just waiting to be rediscovered.
